Conclusion



This is the last quarter, my last media log. I will surely miss writing here on my blog. Writing about media is not just about criticizing and writing comments about songs or movies but it is a whole lot more. It is about realizing that media is important yet media is not that perfect either. They do send off good and sometimes bad influence. All my media entries helped me figure out the difference between the positive and negative effects of media to people. Media does influence people; I am even one of them who are easily influenced by media. This project made me realize that I should know what I should follow in media. This also helped me understand songs and look deeper at the meaning of their lyrics. I guess, after this project I would always criticize and understand media. So, I have to end this now and when I grow older I would be looking back at my entries. Maybe by that time, there would be a big improvement in media.

“Life is not the amount of breaths you take; it’s the moments that take your breath away.”

Is it familiar? Hitch is one of my favourite movies all time. When I watched it again, I always stop and listen to this line. When I first watched the movie I would pause it and listen to this line again and again. I like this line because it made me feel that what makes me happy is important. This made me believe that enjoying life even at my lowest point is still important. It tells me that every moment is significant that there is a reason for everything. Everything that happens to us is important whether it is good or bad. These are the things that I have realized after hearing this. It gives you the “aww” feeling and it makes you reflect about life, well at least for me it does. I think by this time, I would be counting the moments that take my breath away.

Pursuit of Happyness



This is surely a great movie and I am sure that some guys were brought to tears. Guys, I guess were more sensitive than girls while watching this movie. Just seeing the trailer makes you wan to cry. Will Smith and his son did a brilliant job at acting. The thing I liked about the movie was when they made a movie about how fathers feel when they cannot help their family. Since men are always seen tough, this movie showed how men can be soft but still strong in terms of accepting failures. The thing I hated about the movie was that it was too long. I wanted to fast forward it and get to the ending. The ending was good and it made me hopeful. Even if this movie was too long, I still loved it.

I have downloaded this song, last year I think?i did not notice it then, but one day I accidentally played the song and I actually listened to it. When I heard it I kept on repeating it to understand the whole thing. This song is the perfect song that I would love to dedicate to a friend. I like this song because I can relate to it and it has good music and lyrics. I chose this for my friend because the song is perfect for our friendship. I loved James Blunt’s music ever since, he makes meaningful songs. This song is realty good, it is not a normal song but it is one of the songs that have a sentimental value. It is the best song for friends willing to lend a shoulder to cry on. So, I guess it is understood why I chose this song for my friend.

I am not a U2 fan and I do not usually listen to their songs. Sometimes I do but it will not come to a point that I would be downloading it and repeating it over and over again. When I first saw the video I just got fascinated with it because it was very creative. Since I just liked the video I did not really understood the song and the lyrics. When I see the video I would watch just because I am amused with it not because I like the song. I then memorized the chorus and realized that the lines were very meaningful. I then looked for the lyrics and when I read it I downloaded it immediately that is how I understood the song better. This song is deep and it helps me find hope, not only for me but especially for people who had their heart broken. The songs I least expect to listen to are the one who make me think and realize things and those songs usually help me. There are a few songs that can make me realize about the facts of life and this song is one of them.

Have you heard this song? Is it catchy or what? I like how this song is very playful and happy. I like how it makes me sing, dance and just lose myself. The video is very nice, cute and fun. It shows more of the modern world and it made people watch it more. It made a good feel when the video’s settings were very colourful and stylish. The video is good and the song is good too. Have you ever felt singing a song and you can feel your head swinging from left to right? This song makes me do that, when I hear it my head would automatically feel the mood of swinging my head and having the feeling of being happy. Gwenn Steffani does songs like these and her songs are what people usually listen too. I bet that people have it and they keep on singing it, like me.

UP Street Fuzion



It is where I find inspiration in dancing.

I got too excited at writing this concert as an entry in my media log. Yesterday, March 3, 2007 I had a chance to be in a concert, not just any concert but it is UP’s Street Fuzion. It is a dance concert held by the UP street of people from UP of course. This is not a typical dance concert wherein you dance and you shout but it is a concert about dancing for Him. Of all the dance concerts I have been this one is the best. There was not a moment where I wanted to close my eyes and sleep. The concert is not just about dancing; they used different kinds of twists. There were scenes wherein they impersonate well known celebrities and there was a moment where someone preached about life and God. The best part of the concert was when the preacher gave a great speech about God and I am sure that it gave a big effect on people. This was an ordinary concert it was more of Him and less of them. I love how they used song that fit well with the scenes and dances. I also like that there was a big story in that concert. I loved their costumes, the stage and their props. I love everything about that concert and most especially that I myself was given the chance to dance there and be a part of it.

Justin did it again! His new hit song has a great video, well for me it is and I bet for most people too. The video or mini- movie made the song even better. Just listening to the song is good but when I saw the video it was really good. There was Justin and Scarlett Johansson on that mini-movie explaining the song, “what goes around, comes around.” I love how they changed scenes, from the real story then to Justin singing on stage. It was also good when they enter scenes and the music stops and you can hear clearly what the actors were saying. They had good costumes, settings and other effects which added to the success of the video. The concept and storyline was good especially how they used a classic theme to it. I guess it is clearer for people now that what goes around comes back around.
